Nikola Čemanová
was born in 1994. She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (2013-2018). In her artistic practice, she operates at the interface of several media, disciplines and approaches, from site-specific installations and installations which are involving utility objects, from performances to containers and jewellery.
She focuses primarily on ceramics, which she perceives in the extended range, as a technique and material in dialogue with the body and other ready-mades.
As part of her residency at Casa La Paz, she created
a series of jewellery pieces from goat teeth found on the island of Fuerteventura.
